I played for the first time on stage in Amsterdam! I've been invited to play bass guitar by the Jam Session team of the Waterhole (pub on the Leidseplein). Many thanks to the Rickets band :o))

Now I'm looking for rock/metal musicians (or a band) to practice, make jam sessions and why not concerts.

I spent last week in Las Vegas' Venetian Hotel for a conference.  The principle is that a hotel is built around a casino and outside you find other hotels built around other casinos and then the desert ...

You can within a day visit Venice's grand canal shoppes, Munich's Hofbräuhaus and the Eiffel Tower!

I went to the cinema with a friend from Paris (Hello Jacques!).We arrived a little bit later in order not to see the ads. But the point is that in the Netherlands you can't buy tickets once the movie has started ... So we decided to see another movie called "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

I discovered the fantastic story of an ordinary guy, his friend Ford, an alien and the Vogons. The adventures of these galactical heroes were unexpected and very inventive. Suddenly, I remembered that a couple of years ago, I've been given (thank you Natalie) a collection of science-fiction books,  written by Douglas Adams, about an ordinary guy, his friend Ford .... !!!

The galaxy is a small world ;o)

In fact, I have moved in the famous part of Amsterdam (in the center, between the Jordaan and the museums). There are lots of nice restaurants around and I can walk to both best concert halls/nightclubs, my offices and the casino!

As I had some troubles with my french credit card and dutch rarely accept amex, I was lost in Amsterdam with only 20 euros in my pocket for 3 days (time needed to fix up the situation). So I decided to play them at the casino ...

I was playing my last coins and suddenly I saw three 7 and I heard a Jackpot that displayed 151: 151 coins fell down and everybody was looking at me!

I immediately changed my treasure for the reasonnable amount of 88,50 euros :o)

PS. I hope I will get my Internet connection soon!

I started bass guitar 2 years ago and now I feel ready to play in a band (I try to practice at least 45' a day!).

I've received in my mailbox a 188 pages document and the following question:

I've decided to practice squash on a regular basis. So I have invested in a squash racket (Dunlop max plus Ti for only 50 euros), brand new squash shoes (you know, those with non-marking, gum rubber outsole) and a couple of balls (blue ones because I'm a beginner !) and, the most important, I found some very friendly partners (partly thanks to European PWN !).
Once I was ready, the question rose: where can you play squash in Paris?
First, I've experienced the Aquaboulevard courts. It's quite awful: you are bad received (e.g. a guy asked something in english to the receptionist and she complained to her boss about the fact that the guy was not speaking french (!)), the courts are shabby-looking and they often make overbooking (last time, they booked the same court at the same time for 2 different teams !).
Fortunately, I have discovered today (thank you Marie-Christine!) a very nice Squash and sports complex 19 rue de Pontoise (Paris 5): it's clean, very friendly and prices are competitive :o) For those who are interested, there's also a swimming-pool.

I spent Xmas in New York :o)
First I thought they did'nt want to let me in, when the big guy, a kind of Samuel Jackson, checking my immigration form told me "This is wrong ... You have to know that ! You must do it again". In France, I probably would have raged against him, but in this case not :o/
Quite cold but very crowdy, especially near the RCA (Rockfeller Center).
I visited the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art): it is fantastic ! You don't have to be dead anymore to find your "chef d'oeuvre" in a museum now ;o)
