Back to Live !!!

Incredible,

I recently relocated to Amsterdam and asked for a broadband Internet connection on the 28th of June ... And I'm only connected since 5 minutes !!!!! Thank you Nicolas and François ;o)

46 days to have access to the Internet

Scaring, what? How is this possible? Here are some tips:

1. Ask your landlord to provide you with a wrong house number extension (in Amsterdam your address is for example Spuistraat 34 F)                                                  <10 days>

2. Choose an Internet provider, Chello (UPC), who waits 15 days before telling you there is a problem and 10 more days to tell you what the hell the problem is ...       <25 days>

3. Follow installation procedure written in a language you do not know yet                      <1 day>

4. Use a Laptop with an unreliable network card   <5 days>

5. Dialog with 2nd level technicians that believe you can put spaces into IP adresses (for instance 192. 54.  46.  20 ?!)                                          <3 days>

6. Guess in which of the 18 boxes, you brought with you when you have moved, your brand new WIFI routeur could be hidden                                     <2 days>
